BENEFITS

Improve Cardiovascular Function

Having a healthy heart is critical to longevity and disease prevention. Simulated altitude training yields multiple cardiovascular benefits, including reduced blood pressure, resting heart rate and cholesterol levels. With enhanced oxygen transport/uptake, you can significantly improve your aerobic capacity and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.

Accelerate Fat Loss

When it comes to fat loss, hopping from one random workout class to another is not the most effective way to see consistent results. Decrease fat mass more effectively and create a larger caloric deficit with the same amount of exercise. In one study, participants saw a reduction in fat mass of about 7% by training at altitude compared to the group training at sea-level, which didn’t see any reduction.

Enhance Metabolic Health

Increase your body’s ability to use fat as fuel, therefore boosting metabolic health and easing symptoms of a slow metabolism. Research shows altitude training can help increase glucose tolerance and reduce your risk of Type 2 Diabetes.

Reduce Wear and Tear on Your Joints

Good news – you no longer need to wear out your knees with high impact workouts. Altitude training creates a stimulus that maximizes aerobic output, while reducing training intensity and load on your body. Sessions in our altitude chamber (i.e a walk on the treadmill, a spin on the bike or a strength training circuit) can be done at lower intensities with greater benefit than higher-intensity training at sea-level.
