Altitude is introducing fitness classes unlike any others in Toronto. Fitness classes at Altitude combine the efficiency of elevation with smart coaching and a motivational group environment. Each class is engineered to give you the most out of your workout, whether you’re a beginner or elite.

Interval Run

Optimize your training time with this interval-style running class on the treadmills. We’ve designed three variations of Interval Run:

The Climb

Working on improving your negative split for that big upcoming race? “The Climb” will work on your aerobic capacity so you can achieve your best chip time possible. This class keeps endurance training fun and engaging by strategically incorporating a variety of different running mechanisms. You will conquer multiple “hill climbs” throughout this class through the use of inclines and various paces.  

HIITs and Sprints

Take your runs to the next level. With repeated sprints followed by recovery this class will challenge your anaerobic threshold, which will help delay fatigue on those tough long runs. Our HIIT & Sprints class is perfect for anyone looking to improve overall body composition, or athletes that use quick, relatively short bursts of energy. 

Through the Valley

“Through the Valley” is a dynamic class that will train your cardiorespiratory system for whatever your next race entails. In this class, your aerobic and anaerobic capacity will be challenged through a combination of high-intensity sprints and steady-state run intervals. The class works on your conditioning to avoid hitting a wall during your race, and still have enough in the tank to sprint across the finish line.

Not a spin class – this proper bike workout will take your ride to the next level at elevation. Pro tip: Interval Bike and Interval Run can be done back-to-back for a game-changing brick workout. We’ve designed three variations of Interval Bike:

Whether you’re training towards endurance, acclimatization, or general health and fitness goals, you’ll want to try “The Climb”. This class will challenge your aerobic system with longer duration efforts and hill climbs at a lower RPM (revolutions per minute). Training in your aerobic zone will prepare you to sustain prolonged periods of exertion so you can conquer that lengthy bike ride, keep up with your paceline, or power up that seemingly endless hill.

“HIITs and Sprints” is an anaerobic-based class that involves intervals of high intensity (HIIT), followed by recovery periods. This class is perfect for the cyclist that wants to practice their breakaways, or any athlete that specializes in explosive bursts of energy. Our coaches take in to consideration your fitness level for this class and walk you through the gears and resistances needed to have a great workout!

Through the Valley

Our “Through the Valley” interval bike class is for you if you’re doing a metric century, or need some practice pulling at the front of your pace line. This class combines the benefits of aerobic and anaerobic training by mixing explosive sprints with leg-burning endurance hill climbs. This low impact class is perfect for those just starting their fitness journey, those looking for a new challenge or cyclists looking to spice up their routine while getting their weekly mileage in.!

Climber Conditioning

Train for the mountain with this climber-focused class. Your coach will lead you through a combination of interval hills and circuit style classes. The focus is to develop leg and core strength and endurance to build fitness and performance in muscles and movement patterns specific to mountaineering. Pro tip: bring your own weighted backpack or ask to use our’s.

Interval Strength

Train full-body strength in this dynamic class that will get your heart rate up. Your coach will lead you through sets structured to optimize the hypoxic effect on hypertrophy (toning and improving muscle definition). Suitable for athletes of all abilities.

PRICING

Purchase a single or multiple class package below. Each class is 30 minutes in length. If you purchase a multi-class package, the size of your package will determine how many hours of classes you can redeem. For example, a 10-class package will give you 300 minutes (5 hours) worth of classes to schedule as you like.
