My wife and I both in our 60’s trained over the last 2 years to prepare for Kilimanjaro, Inca Trail to Machu Piccu and Everest base camp. The staff are highly qualified and the facilities are amazing and clean. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. We feel strongly that we were able to complete our goals because of the way we had been prepared physically and mentally.
We are so glad we discovered Altitude Athletics It was well worth the time and effort! We highly recommend them even if you aren’t preparing for a climb

I am so glad I discovered this place. Literally changed my life. I spent three months training here, preparing for my second attempt on Aconcagua. I feel highly confident of success (weather not withstanding) and finding it an easier ask of my body then this years attempt.
Altitude Athletic Training isn’t just a gym, it isn’t just a place to get High Altitude exposure. It is a community of likeminded individuals, who become friends. It is a space filled with expertise and experience from all sports and it only serves to fuel one’s passion. Training here was an amazing experience.
The trainers are first class, the kit is phenomenal, and (if you follow the instructions) the results are incredible. Sadly I have now left Toronto, and the one thing I miss most are my daily morning sessions, and my friends at AAT.
Cannot wait to come back and re-engage.

Many thanks to everyone at Altitude Fitness for helping me and my daughter get ready for our Inca trail hike. I did the mountain express package and after one month of intense workouts at ever increasing simulated altitude, I felt super fit and ready for my hike. Definitely worth it!

I trained at Altitude Athletic Training in preparation for my Kilimanjaro climb, and it made a measurable difference in how my body handled altitude.
We did structured hypoxic sessions simulating up to 20,000 feet, and I committed to it consistently in the lead-up to the trip. By the time I landed in Tanzania, I felt calm about the altitude instead of anxious. On summit night, while others were really struggling, I felt steady, controlled, and confident in my breathing. That doesn’t happen by accident.
The team was knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in the process. They took the time to explain what was happening physiologically and why the training mattered. It wasn’t gimmicky. It was intentional.
I summited Kilimanjaro via the 8-day Lemosho route and genuinely believe this training played a significant role in how well I acclimatized.
If you’re serious about altitude goals, this is worth it.
Grateful for the support.

Just got back from climbing Kilimanjaro with my son. Before taking the trip I was quite worried about the potential effects of altitude sickness BUT was lucky enough to find Altitude Training.
They set me up with a progressive training schedule that had me reach 19,500 feet (Kili Summit) a few weeks before I left. I am convinced this pre-acclimatization made a huge difference in my climb. I felt zero symptoms on the trip and could just focus on enjoying the experience.
Overall the people at the gym are very responsive, courteous and were always willing to accommodate my changing schedule. A big thank you to the whole team. I could not have done it without you.
